How Halfspace works
Every number on this site, where it comes from and how we work it out. No guesswork and no paid picks.
Where the data comes from
Everything comes from the official Fantasy Premier League game: points, minutes, prices, ownership, injury news, fixtures and expected goals. We don't mix in stats from anywhere else, so our numbers match what you see in the app.
When it updates
On matchdays we check for new data every 30 minutes. Shortly after the final whistle of a gameweek, its stats go live marked provisional, because bonus points and corrections can still change. Once FPL confirms the gameweek, every number is recalculated and the label comes off. In the three days before a deadline we also refresh every morning for price changes and injury news.
What each number means
- Last 4
- Average points over the last four gameweeks, blanks included. Our main form measure.
- PPG
- Points per game played this season.
- Pts/90
- Points per 90 minutes. Fairer than totals for players who come off the bench.
- xGI/90
- Expected goals plus expected assists per 90 minutes. Shows how often a player gets good chances or creates them.
- G+A vs xGI
- Goals and assists minus expected goal involvements. Well above zero means a player is finishing unusually well and may slow down. Well below zero means returns could be on the way.
- DC/90
- Defensive actions per 90: tackles, blocks, interceptions, clearances and recoveries. These earn defensive contribution points.
- Pts/£m
- Season points for every £1m of current price.
- Fixtures
- FPL's own difficulty ratings, from 1 (easiest) to 5 (hardest).
- Captain score
- Recent form, points per game and xGI per 90, multiplied by how easy the next fixture is and how likely the player is to play.
How we rate your team
Your squad gets a score out of 10 in five areas. The overall rating weights them by how much each one moves your points.
Who runs Halfspace
Halfspace is an independent site built by FPL players. We're not affiliated with the Premier League or Fantasy Premier League. Adverts keep the site free, and they never decide what we recommend. We don't show betting adverts.
